us,
in detail.
Understanding the wedding like we’re part of the family, simultaneously getting to know the couple as friends who just met, coordinating the wedding schedule like we’re part of the wedding tribe and finally, watching the day unfold like we're guests.

beyond superficials,

our ways.

Being in Singapore, we live in a relatively practical and fast-paced society. Weddings here, though not all, often are ceremonial and a financially centric affair. It feels as though weddings are slowly losing its essence and true meaning of celebrating love, union and marking the start of a lifetime together for the pair. We felt the need for people to slow down, take their minds of the practicality of the wedding and think about why the wedding is happening and what do they want to get out of it. Weddings are extremely powerful as it kicks start a marriage and a commitment of a lifetime. It is the starting and the finishing line at the same time.

Also, guess due to the popularity of social media platforms such as Pinterest and Instagram, we find many couples constantly seeking for that picture-perfect wedding instead of focusing on themselves. The perfect wedding cake, the most stunning gown and the most unique venue often makes up a large part of the planning process. As we attended more weddings as photographers and videographers, we saw how stressful and how meaningless a wedding slowly became through the peephole. Photos and videos online all started looking pretty similar and we wondered why.

We hence put a lot of thoughts into each wedding; understanding the wedding like we’re part of the family, simultaneously getting to know the couple as friends who just met, coordinating the wedding schedule like we’re part of the wedding tribe and finally, watching the day unfold like we're guests. The willingness to love and to feel like how the couple feel doesn’t come naturally or easy at the beginning. As time passes by, we realized that this extra effort of loving the couple like our own family and being a close part of the wedding does show in our works – the chemistry and spark allowed us to understand what truly matters and to actually capture what’s not obvious.

We stopped thinking as photographers and videographers, and directed our energy in making sure that the pair can delve deeper into their relationship and to the future. Like mentioned, we wish that our works are opened doors that allow couples to always find something new about themselves, about their relationship and about their wedding each time they come back to a photo. The works will always allow them to look in deeper and feel, on a high magnitude, about the wedding day and the marriage.
